To determine in which award categories your hotel(s) should appear if they are not listed, check which chain-affiliated hotels you consider to be on a par based upon their average daily rate.

Definition – UK Holiday Cottage/Self Catering Holiday Booking Companies

Holiday cottage/self-catering holiday booking companies market, promote and manage reservations for villas, apartments and holiday cottages on behalf of independent property owners or their own units.

This category will be graded by size based upon the number of rental units in a company’s property portfolio to recognise the achievements of SME’s.

    • More than 2,000 rental units
  • Medium
    • 600 to 2,000 rental units
  • Small
    • Less than 600 rental units

Eligibility - UK Visitor Attractions

Best UK Leisure Attraction and Best UK Heritage Attraction

Open to individual attractions at a specific location. NOT umbrella organisations representing a group e.g. Continuum Group, Merlin Entertainment, National Trust, (National Maritime Museum, Cornwall not National Maritime Museum) etc.

Best UK Holiday County or Region and Best UK Seaside Town

These two categories are not intended for commercial enterprises e.g. holiday parks, location specific accommodation providers etc.

Companies can nominate in these categories but priority will be given to nomination applications from official entities and LEP’s representing a county, region or town. If there are no priority applications and more than one commercial enterprise applies for the same listing, preference will be given to the first approved application.

The listing format on the voting form will appear as:

    A70 : Best UK Leisure Attraction

    A71 : Best UK Heritage Attraction

    A72 : Best UK Holiday County or Region
