Holiday Cottages – British Travel Awards (Win a £1,500 Holiday Cottages voucher).
Please read these Terms and Conditions before you vote and enter, as they apply to the Prize Draw and entry is deemed to be acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
PROMOTERS:
This Prize Draw is being run by Holiday Cottages (part of The Travel Chapter Limited) in collaboration with the British Travel Awards (each a Promoter and together the Promoters). You can find out more details about the Promoters below.

PRIZE DRAW: Valid entries submitted through the British Travel Awards’ website for votes cast for Holiday Cottages during the Promotion Period with one Winner drawn at random (the “Prize Draw”)

(a) Entries to the Prize Draw will close at 23:59 PM on 11th September 2026 (the “Promotion Period”). Any entries received before or after those dates will not be valid entries.
(b) The Prize Draw is only open to UK residents who are over 18.
(c) Employees (and their families) of the Promoters, or of any of The Travel Chapter’s group companies, are not eligible to enter the Prize Draw.
(d) No separate entry form or purchase is required to enter the Prize Draw.

Voters must complete the voting process and submit their details through the British Travel Awards website. Upon successful submission of a valid vote, entrants will be automatically entered into the Prize Draw.
Entries will only be valid if recorded by the British Travel Awards’ voting platform during the Promotion Period.
Where a prize has been donated by a specific company, entrants are not required to vote for that company in order to be entered into the Prize Draw. Entry is automatic upon the successful submission of any valid vote through the British Travel Awards’ voting platform.
Only one prize draw entry will be allocated per valid voter record, subject to the British Travel Awards’ voting rules and verification procedures. Terms & Conditions – British Travel Awards
2. Votes submitted by entrants will be verified by the British Travel Awards. Entrants will be required to provide their name, email address and phone number to enter.
3. Each entrant may submit one vote and will receive one entry into the Prize Draw. Multiple votes or duplicate entries will not increase an entrant’s chance of winning and may be disregarded.
The British Travel Awards employs a range of verification measures to identify duplicate, fraudulent or suspicious voting activity, including checks on voter information and system-generated data. Multiple votes or entries submitted by the same individual may be removed, disregarded or deemed ineligible at the sole discretion of the British Travel Awards.
Only verified and valid voter records will be included in the Prize Draw. The decision of the British Travel Awards regarding the validity of votes and entries shall be final.
4. Only correctly and fully completed entries will be accepted.
5. The Promoters accept no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.
6. Entries through agents or third parties, including entries which are automatically generated by computer; completed by third parties or in bulk; illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; photocopies and not originals; or are incomplete, will not be accepted.
7. The Promoters reserve the right to refuse an entry, or refuse to award the Prize, to anyone in breach of these Terms and Conditions or the spirit of these Terms and Conditions.
Selection of the Winner
8. There will be one Winner randomly selected from all valid and eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.
The prize draw will be conducted by the British Travel Awards on the published draw date. Each valid voter record is assigned a unique reference number within the voting database. A random number generation process will then be used to select the winning reference number from the pool of eligible entries.
The draw will be conducted using a verifiably random selection method and records of the draw process, including the winning reference number and the date of selection, will be retained by the British Travel Awards for audit and compliance purposes.
Additional Details
9. Holiday Cottages vouchers are valid for new bookings made with them only and must be redeemed within 12 months of the date of issue. Holidays can be taken at any time, subject to availability. Full voucher terms and conditions are available here.
10. The Prize is subject to availability. If it becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control, it may be substituted with an item of equal or greater value.
11. No cash alternatives are available. The Prize is non-refundable, non-transferable, and must not be sold.
12. The Winner (and anyone staying with them on a holiday) will organise their own travel to the property they choose to book at their own cost.
Notification of the Winner and receipt of the Prize
13. The Winner of the Prize will be notified by the British Travel Awards on 30th September 2026 and introduced by email to Holiday Cottages, so they can arrange to issue the voucher.
14. In respect of the Holiday Cottages voucher prize, a correspondent at The Travel Chapter Limited will reach out to the Winner and send an email following successful notification by the British Travel Awards. The Winner will have 14 days from receipt of the email to reply, following which the voucher will be sent by email. If no response is received within 14 days, the Promoters reserve the right to select a replacement Winner at random.
15. The Promoters will not be liable if the notification email or Prize is lost, delayed or damaged for reasons beyond their reasonable control, or for any additional expenses that may be incurred by the Winner in relation to the Prize Draw or the Prize.
16. The Promoters will make all reasonable efforts to contact the Winner. If the applicable Promoter is unable to contact the Winner, or the Winner has not provided the Promoter with their correct email or postal address for the Promoter to deliver the applicable Prize, then the applicable Promoter reserves the right to select a replacement Winner.
17. The Promoters’ decision on all matters set out in these Terms and Conditions, including but not limited to selection of the Winner, is final
18. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoters, their agents, suppliers, distributors, officers, directors, employees and shareholders will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered or incurred (including but not limited to, direct or consequential loss) in connection with entry into the Prize Draw or acceptance of the Prize.
19. All Prize Draw entries and any accompanying material submitted to the Promoters will become the property of the Promoters on receipt.
20. The Winner’s surname and county of residence can be requested for a period of one month by any entrant after the Notification Date by writing to the Promoters at the addresses provided at the top of these Terms and Conditions and stating the name and date of the Prize Draw.
Data Protection
21. Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation. It will be used by the Promoters for the purposes of administering and fulfilling the Prize Draw and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
22. Entrant’s personal data will be treated in accordance with the Promoters’ privacy policies at all times. You can read The Travel Chapter Limited’s privacy statement, and British Travel Awards’ privacy statement.
23. Where an entrant has indicated consent to receiving communications from the Promoters about their products, special offers, promotions and services as part of entering the Prize Draw, their email address will be added to the Promoters’ email lists and processed in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and the Promoters’ privacy statements. Consent is not a condition of entry and an entrant can opt out at any time.
24. If the Winner does not want their surname and county included, they must notify the Promoters within 14 days of the date when notification was received to confirm that they are the Winner. In such circumstances, the Promoters must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority if, and when requested, to indicate that a valid award took place under the Prize Draw.
General
25. The Promoters reserve the right to amend, withdraw or restrict the Prize Draw, includingthese Terms and Conditions, at any time and without notice, in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation, or any other event outside of the Promoters’ control.
26. The Prize Draw and these Terms and Conditions are intended to be legally binding and will be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. The English courts will have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim or dispute arising from or related to the Prize Draw or these Terms and Conditions.
27. The successful Winner may be asked to participate in publicity arising out of the Prize Draw.
28. Should the Prize Draw be cancelled or varied by the Promoters at their discretion (if reasonably required to do so), the Promoters shall not be liable for any loss of money or expenses incurred by entrants or the Winner.
29. The Promoters make no representations and give no warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the Prize
30. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited by law.
31. This Prize Draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter) or any other social network or platform.
